Team Conflicts Causes
Team conflicts mostly arise due to different perceptions of what a team needs and how to achieve it. As a result, they may also occur; thus, differences in personalities are a common occurrence in workplaces. Usually, they are an indication of a healthy working environment where people are allowed to express themselves. If well resolved, it promotes trust and respect within the team.
However, if not handled with care, conflict can be detrimental to morale and productivity. Conflict is, therefore, a necessary evil for any team; if team members are allowed to express their view about the team’s progress and future, and these views are taken into consideration, then the team’s performance improves (Neumeyer & Santos, 2020).

Values, Interests, and Goals
Team conflicts at times occur when the values, interests, and goals of an individual are incompatible with those of the organization or the organization. Therefore, they are signs of inconsistencies within the organization, something that the management should look into for more insight into the vulnerabilities. It is also vital to note that these team conflicts can only occur when these differences are brought up during the discussion. This indicates that the team’s or organizational culture is significant to its success and a culture that promotes a free flow of ideas ensures that any vulnerabilities within the organizations are exposed and dealt with on time (Neumeyer & Santos 2020).
Conflict Resolution Skills
Therefore, team leaders should have good conflict resolution skills that are unsure that team conflicts are resolved amicably and timely. The leadership also ensures a diversity of personality and ideology within the teams to encourage conflict and ensure that their matters are fully settled. However, the team should be able to work together to set the organization’s tone. The leadership style also sets the tone on whether people are allowed to express their grievances against fellow team members or the organization at large (Neumeyer & Santos, 2020).
